EVENING OF RECOLLECTION FOR MEN The next one takes place on Thursday 14th June,
from 7.00pm (refreshments from 6.30pm). A time for prayer, Adoration, and faith formation.
Day by day, dear Lord Jesus, of thee three things I pray: to see thee more clearly; to love thee more dearly; and to follow thee more nearly, day by day.
St Richard of Chichester (1197 – 1253)
Our lovely FHC children will receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord for the first time on Saturday 9th June. The Mass begins at 11.00am. We pray for the children and their families and friends at this special time. Please note that the ‘regular’ Mass on Saturday will be at the earlier time of 9.00am and there will be no Adoration or Benediction that morning.
Please pray for the repose of the souls of:
ROSALEEN HAMPER: Funeral Mass, Tuesday 5th June at 12 noon
MAURA TUFFY: Funeral Mass, Friday 15th June at 12 noon
O Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, and our dear Mother! O all ye holy angels, who, by your adoration in our churches, make up for the little love which your God and our Saviour receives from men and women, obtain for us the grace to comprehend a little the love of Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament.
St Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647-1690)
theASCENT – Discipleship Process for Young People
This October, theASCENT will be launching at Worth Abbey with the support of the diocese.
It’s a three-year discipleship process involving three weekend residentials a year and weekly online group sessions. It’s open to anyone about to go into year 10, 11, or 12 and it’s designed to take people with a real interest in their faith and to help them to make a deeper commitment and to explore who God created them to be, while making a few friends and hopefully having some fun in the process.
Can you kindly help with any of the following: i) covering four noticeboards with coloured paper; ii) wax polishing (or similar) the vestment press in the sacristy?
If so, please speak to Fr Terry
It is hoped that the first stage of the dry rot works is now completed. The intention is to begin the daily Holy Hour again at 8.45am from tomorrow. However, due to the noise and the dust, this may have to stop again when stage two of the works begins (we wait and see …).
